Description

The Head of Solutions Engineering at RtBrick owns the "Technical Win." You are the lead architect for our most strategic accounts, transforming the promise of disaggregation into production-ready reality. You will lead design workshops, define POC success criteria, and architect migration paths that move Tier-2/3 ISPs and MSOs off legacy hardware and onto RtBrick’s cloud-native stack.

Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications
  • Experience: 12–15+ years in Service Provider networking (Principal Architect, SE Leader, or Operator-side Architect).
  • Technical Depth: Mastery of IP/MPLS Edge, BNG/BRAS, and large-scale CGNAT (including failure modes and observability).
  • Hands-on Credibility: You have personally taken a network design from a whiteboard to a lab, through a trial, and into a live production environment.
  • Automation-First: Strong understanding of APIs, NetConf/Yang, and telemetry-led operations.
  • Operator Empathy: You understand the constraints, "middle-of-the-night" risks, and procurement hurdles that SP operators face.
Nice-to-Have
  • Inside Perspective: Previous experience working inside an ISP or MSO.
  • Hardware Insight: Familiarity with the Broadcom-based silicon ecosystem and the nuances of white-box hardware.
  • Hands on Experience: Hands on experience with container based networking set up to evolve demos/proof of concept presentations for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Architectural Authority: Lead high-level design (HLD) and low-level design (LLD) sessions for BNG, CGNAT, and IP/MPLS edge deployments.
  • The POC Engine: Own the end-to-end technical validation process—from lab testing to field trials and production cutovers.
  • Automation Strategy: Define the telemetry and API-led integration patterns that allow operators to manage white-box networks with cloud-scale efficiency.
  • Operator Advocacy: Serve as the "Voice of the Customer" back to Engineering, translating field pain points into product requirements.
  • Escalation Leadership: Act as the final technical authority for early "lighthouse" customers, ensuring their success during the critical first phases of deployment.
